the farm 

Farming is a passion, a devoted and honourable way of life. It is where roots run as deep in the houses as they do in the fields – where families are bound strong because of shared expereinces and are grown with love and tenderness. It is where examples speak louder than words and where thanksgiving happens more than once a year.

The Omdraai Farm has been in the family for over 5 decades mainly farming with Jersey cows. In 2011 the focus point shifted to Merino Sheep and Red Poll cattle along with beekeeping, eco tunnels and game. The Omdraai family and Staff have a warm fellowship as most of the staff grew up on the farm along with the family. Throughout every working aspect of the farm, companionship and hearty hospitality can be found amongst the staff and family. The Omdraai team pride themselves in the upkeep and daily farming activities as it’s not only the place they call home, but a home to the venue, the guest farm and a home away from home to all our clients.
